RISE Association and CareSignal presented the webinar "COVID Companion Gets the Authoritative Word Out to Patients" on March 27th, 2020. Available on demand.

Learn how any health system or insurance company can provide COVID-19 patient education using CareSignal's free texting program, COVID Companion.

To stay ahead of the curve, health systems need to scale proactive COVID-19 education and information to patients and community members to make sure healthcare workers are spending time on patients that need help the most. As a result, health systems are using COVID Companion to proactively inform patients on what to do to prevent sickness as well as what to do and where to go if they do get sick.

COVID Companion is a free program that connects patients with local public health resources and shares CDC recommendations for improved health literacy and community preparedness during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although it is not a replacement for medical evaluation or emergency services, COVID Companion reminds patients that if they are sick and they begin experiencing difficulty breathing, they should follow CDC guidelines and reach out immediately.

Learn how health systems are responding to COVID-19 and how COVID Companion is an essential factor in their strategy.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review key components of COVID Companion
  2. Learn how health systems are utilizing COVID Companion as a core strategy to reduce unnecessary utilization
  3. Understand how health systems are scaling COVID-19 education and resources to thousands of patients every day
